Thank you very much, Georgia, for hosting me.
Today I want to talk a little bit about reading. It’s a well-known fact that reading makes you a better writer, and often just a better person in general. ;) It expands your horizons and introduces you to new ideas, which is always a good thing. I wanted to share some of my favorite lesser-known books today. I highly recommend all of these books and suggest you check them out and add them to your to-be-read list.
The first book on my list is Holes by Louis Sachar. This is an older book but it’s a delicious read. It melds time and generations beautifully in a sweet, satisfying tale. The description is enough to make you want to read the book again and again, and the story is equally mesmerizing. It’s a heartwarming story that you will want to share with everyone.

Book number two is The Mind’s Eye by K.C. Finn. This paranormal historical fiction will make you feel. The characters are real and leap off the pages right into your heart. The plot is carefully crafted and the surrounding writing is excellent. Be forewarned—you may desperately want to read the sequel after devouring this thrilling story.

The third book is The Gauguin Connection by Estelle Ryan. A well-thought, extremely smart mystery crosses paths with a detective so witty and brilliant she should be considered in the ranks with Sherlock Holmes. Ryan’s characterization is fantastic and she calls attention to the non-neurotypical minds, so often misunderstood by the rest of the world. Once you finish this book, you need not be sad that it’s over as it is only the first of a fabulous series.

Last but not least, the fantasy romance Deceived by L.A. Starkey. This tale is a fascinating mix between modern fantasy and Greek mythology. The author’s takes on mythological beings like the Fates will captivate your interest as you weave your way through this story. The main character is relatable, and you will find yourself walking with her in her adventures. This book is part of a series as well, with three books in total.

I hope you enjoy these books as much as I do.
Happy reading!
