Hey guys, let me just start off by saying how sorry I am. I feel as though I let you down somehow. I checked my last blog posted and that was on August 6th today is October 12th. In that time I have started high school, joined field hockey, and pretty much stopped reading all together. Don't get me wrong I LOVE READING. It is still a passion of mine but I have fallen into a very deep slump that I can't see the end of yet. I really hope I get out of it soon and I miss that urge to read, I re-read Carry On this week and that brought some of it back but not to the same level as usual. I have written book reviews, I have a book review for the first three books in the lunar chronicles and I just have to type them up and post them. I can't say when they will be up but I want to say soon. I got a few books today and they all sound really good so I think I will start them soon. I'm actually in the mood for a contemporary for once so that's a start. Thankfully I own them so there is no pressure on when I have to return them.

HARRY POTTER AND THE CURSED CHILD SPOILER BOOK REVIEW-
A busy and crowded station. This is the first line in Harry Potter and the cursed child, the eighth book in the worldwide phenomenon Harry Potter series and the continuation of where the seventh book left off. If I'm being completely honest I wasn't completely sure whether I would read this or not because it's not 100% completely written by J.k Rowling and then I was decided that I had a chance to see where Harry was after all these years and that was all I needed to read it. I don't regret it at all. As I write this I am on my way on my vacation in New Hampshire and I was originally supposed to read it on the car ride there but I got locked out of my house last night and I had the book on me so I decided to read it, I had about fifty pages left when my parents came and then once I got to bed I finished within fifteen minutes. Okay so I should finish gushing about the book and actually review it. The seventh and eighth actually overlap slightly the epilogue in the seventh book is the first scene of the eighth book, and then we follow Albus as he gets on the train and meets Scorpius Malfoy son of Draco Malfoy; Albus's Dad's nemesis. Despite who their families are they soon become best friends, each other's only friends. Just like his fear was he gets placed in Slytherin with Scorpius and then it flashes different scenes in time until he is in fourth year at Hogwarts and is completely and utterly miserable. Harry isn't much happier, he is working at The ministry of magic as head of wizarding law or something along those lines and he has all this paperwork to sort out as well as his problems with Albus it is just a lot to handle. Then on top of all that after twenty two years in peace his scar starts hurting and he starts having these dreams of things that never even happened. As the book goes on the plot thickens and it gets better and better by the page. This is based in a few different places through out the wizard world. The first place it is placed is Kings Place where the Hogwarts express comes. The next place is Hogwarts of course, but then it flashes to Harry and Ginny's home when Albus is now fourteen years old (my age!) But where wasn't the only element in this book, the setting of element was also when, during their adventures with the time turner Albus and Scorpius go back to Harry's fourth year during the Triwizard Tournament, Hallow's Eve on the 31st of October, 1980 the day Harry's parents were killed. A big part of the of this book was the characters, there were a lot of new characters that weren't even mentioned nor even existed in the last series. Scorpius Malfoy has gone a lot in his life and I think that is part of the reason him and Albus get along so well, his mother has been weak his entire life so when she finally passes away he is left alone with a grieving father. Scorpius was by far my favorite character, he is smart, funny, and ridiculously selfless, like Albus most of the characters has their weakness and I think that's what truly made them human. One of my favorite lines in the book was when Scorpius was in the future that Voldemort won the war and he was talking to Hermione and they said the same thing at the same time and Ron turns and goes "oh god there is two of them" Another main character was Albus Severus, who is Harry Potter's middle child and has a hard time living up to the name he was given. A new character who wasn't a particularly big part of the book was Albus's cousin Rose Granger-Weasley daughter of Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley, because in several of the alternate futures Ron and Hermione never get married Rose is never born. I also love the fact that Scorpius has a crush on Rose because his father Draco didn't particularly like muggle borns and Rose is daughter of a muggle born and Scorpius has a perfect bloodline (technically speaking). There were a lot of relationships between the characters in this series. The most prominent one of all though is the one between Harry and his son Albus. They are not very close- at all. Harry has never really understood his son and Albus has never wanted the glory that comes along with being Harry Potter's son, then again I don't think Albus ever realizes that Harry didn't want the glory of being Harry Potter either. Another prominent relationship is the friendship of Scorpius and Albus, they click right from the start and become best friends quite quickly. In one of the realities, Harry dies in the war (even writing makes me feel sick) thus never marrying Ginny and Albus not being born, though in this future Scorpius is really popular, and rules Hogwarts, he doesn't want to be a part of it because Albus wasn't there. Another great scene was in the beginning of his fourth year when he was coming back to Hogwarts and he got on the train and just gave Scorpius a big hug. The final main relationship between the characters Draco and Harry, in book one to seven Harry and Draco are arch nemesis' though it changes in the slightest bit when Harry, Ron, and Hermione save them from the fire in the room of requirements. A big part of this book is Voldemort- he is in the novel towards the end of the book, Albus and Scorpius get pulled back in time to the day before his parents are killed , and they leave a message for Harry on his baby blanket and they (Harry, Ginny, Ron, Hermione, and Draco) went back in time to save Scorpius and Draco. He is currently in the present time because even though he is dead his daughter with Bellatrix Lestrange (EW I know!) so part of him is in her, and as long as his daughter has a child herself he will continue to live until his bloodline eventually fades out. One of Albus Severus's biggest fear before he went to Hogwarts was that he would get sorted into Slytherin, the house with the worst reputation. Then his fear comes true and he gets sorted into it with Scorpius. There are four houses in Hogwarts; Gryffindor the house for the brave, Ravenclaw the house for the wise, Slytherin the house for the cunning, and Hufflepuff the house for everyone else. I have read a lot of reviews of this book, and a lot of the complaints were that it was not a good book compared to the rest of the books. What I did though is that I didn't even try to compare it to the other books, on its own the book is really good, and I just chose not to compare it to the other books. In conclusion I really enjoyed this book so much that I finished it in less than five hours. This is the perfect ending to the series, I had questions at the end of the epilogue and these answered all my questions. There is nothing more I love than Harry Potter and it was hard but this was the perfect way for the final goodbye. Hi guys! Long time no see! I feel like the last time I actually wrote a blog post was over three weeks ago, but seeing as today is August 1st I thought I would do a life update! So in the last while I have gone on summer break (well summer break is nearly over now so...) I have gone to camp, I was there for two weeks and it was a blast! I did sailing, photography, arts and crafts, archery,
7/22/2016 0 Comments My top squeal worthy books!Hey guys! If you are reading this, it means I COME HOME FROM CAMP TOMORROW, I will send out a tweet the second I get home telling you guys so don't worry you will know. That means today is July 22nd and I hope you have had a good two weeks, let's be honest I've gone more than two weeks without YouTube and blogging before but now it feels like a part of my soul is being ripped away from me. Don't you fret though, I am going to New Hampshire on the 6th of August so I will get some good clips there! I should probably get to the actual post now... P.S- I'm going to make a slide show and for some of them I found some really cute fan art so I'll through those in too :) You may think you know the story. This is the first line in My Lady Jane by Cynthia hand, Brodie Ashton, and Jodi Meadows. I really enjoyed this book, I finished it in three days and I actually only finished it about 45 minutes ago. I was honestly surprised that I enjoyed this book as much as I did because a) it's a historical fiction and b) it's Owlcrate (nothing against Owlcrate but I just haven't enjoyed all the books they sent but I love everything else about it. The setting was in 16th century England and it was a Henry the eighth retelling. I didn't realise this at first until they mentioned Edward, and it all clicked into place. We had studied these people in seventh grade history class. I had always found King Henry interesting because back in that time it was illegal to get divorced, but then I remembered none of his wives divorced him, they all died of a beheading, childbirth, or some other horrific death except his last wife who out lived him. there were several main characters in this novel the first one who the book is named after: Jane Grey. She is just a normal lady and by lady I mean lady as in cousin of the King. All she wants to do is read and be left alone. The next character is Gifford but he prefers to be called G because he hates his name. Gifford is a horse. Well not actually a horse he is an edian which is a person that can shift from human into an animal but he can't control his shifts so during the day he is a horse and at night he is a man. He is soon being forced into a wedding he wanted no part of and that there is no way out of, even in his horse form. The next character is King Edward, who is sixteen and of the this day: dying. He has to quickly reconsider who is next in line seeing as he doesn't have any children/heirs. From there the plot is in motion, action, drama, and best of all comedy ensues from there. I really enjoyed this book, I was entranced in their world, fell in love with each characters, and at one point was actually screaming at the book, as if the characters on the page could hear me. Which annoyed the people sitting beside me also trying to read. (I am a very vocal reader, one of the best parts of having a teddy bear, no judgement) In conclusion I highly suggest this book to anyone who can get their hands on it. Trust me it's worth it. If the inside jacket doesn't pull you in let the first paragraph, no the first line. Just read this book, please I'm begging you. Hey guys! So as you guys might know I am going to summer camp for two weeks and actually if you are reading this it means that I am on my way there right now. I will probably have just gotten there, and am unpacking my cabin. I will be leaving my phone, laptop, iPad, all behind and will be out of touch with the Internet from the 10th to the 23rd. I don't know if I'll make it :( So I thought I would make a post with camp/ summer themed books. Hi guys! Okay so I know that my last post was a book review but I wanted to let you know that I LOVED THIS BOOK. Okay let's get started: Maybe I'd always been broken and dark inside. This the first line in a court of mist and fury or as I like to refer to it as ACOMAF and to save my fingers from typing all those extra characters we'll refer to it as ACOMAF. So let's get started shall we? At the beginning of the novel it has jumped three months since Under The Mountain and Feyre is high fae in the midst of PTSD of the traumatic experience.
She wakes up every night from nightmares and Tamlin is very absent in their relationship. Rhysand holds a bond on her that she has to visit him in the Night Court for one week every month for the rest of her immortal life. She is miserable in the Spring Court being coddled and babied and being stuck in the house all the time. One day Tamlin gets pulled away and when she tries and follows but locks her up with a magical boundery around the house. Mor-Rhys' cousin comes and saves her from the house and brings her to the Night Court. She joins his court and becomes emissary to the human world. Feyre and Rhys start training her powers; when she was reborn she got all the powers of the high lords of all the courts, she learns how to winnow and how to control water, and fire, with many more she hasn't discovered yet. After they are forced to go to the Illyrian training camp Feyre and Rhys are walking in the woods when Lucian finds them. He tries to get Feyre to come with him but just as he tries to grab her sleeve she winnows away from him and back to Rhys and he says shocked "Feyre what have you done to yourself?" This scene makes me laugh so much and it is a very cute Rhys and Feyre scene. They go to an inn and do some very adult stuff while it's on my mind let's talk about the content of this book It is very mature. This is not a YA book, this is very much a fantasy new adult novel but by the time the adult scenes came in ACOTAR I was hooked. There is so much character and world building in this book. Feyre changes and grows so much as a person;in the beginning she is whiny and annoying but by the end she is kickass and someone you want as a best friend. Another thing I really enjoyed was the relationship between Feyre and Rhysand. Their bond is adorable with their notes and texting back and forth. I thought it was very selfless that he waited until she was in love with him back before telling her she was his mate. I also found her reaction a little confusing because she admitted to herself that she was in love with Rhysandbut then when she found out he washer mate she was upset. Then there was that scene in the cabin with Rhys and Feyre when he explains his history of his life and then they go back to the camp and there is a funny scene between Rhys and Cassian. This happens because when the female excepts the males mating offer he becomes extremely territorial of said female and when Cassian said something suggestive to Feyre it made Rhys go crazy and they have a physical fight. There are many settings throughout the entire book, it starts in the Spring Court with Feyre throwing her guts up every night. The next location is the Night Court and Velaris the secret city within the Night Court. Then there is in the summer court with Tarquin, and then back to Velaris. They are then forced to go to Illyrian training camp and finally the book ends with Rhys in the night court and Feyre in the Spring Court as a spy. There are many characters in this book, there is Feyre who in the last book got turned into high fae and is now adjusting to life and her new powers. Next is Rhysand or Rhys if you may- he is high lord of the night court. Then there is Tamlin he isn't in the book much but is mentioned. Then there is Mor Rhys' cousin and third in command to Rhys' inner circle, then there is Cassian is head of his army and finally there is Azriel his shadow master who goes to other courts and tells Rhys about them. Okay guys! I hope you enjoyed 6/5/2016 2 Comments Like No Other Book ReviewJaxon and Devorah were never meant to meet, they lived on the same block yet lived entirely different lives. Jaxon goes to Brooklyn Public High School filled with popular girls and bullies. One day during a hurricane his friend breaks his arm and Jaxon ends up in a broken elevator with Devorah. She was there because her sister Rose went into labor a month early with her daughter and she was stuck in the elevator going to get food.
They were soon swept up in a whirlwind romance and Devorah began lying about where she was going and doing. This is all because Devorah is hasidic. (Hasidim is a form of the Jewish religion) She is being forced into a marriage when she turns eighteen and she will be forced to marry and then fall in love with the man that would already be her husband. Soon after that she would become a mother. In conclusion I found this book alright I have it three stars because it was okay but I HATED THE ENDING. Obviously I can't say what happens but, know I hated it! 5/28/2016 0 Comments May Wrap Up!Okay so I may have lied....it's not june.
