The Art of Being Normal- Lisa Williamson
This book intrigued me I really like the cover and the inside intrigued me. The inside flap really drew me in, and I really liked the idea of a transgender boy. I really liked the introduction, and I really think the idea that writing a story about a transgender teen is really original.
In the beginning of the book you meet David, a thirteen year old boy; who loves America's Next Top Model, dresses, and all things girly. His parents think he's gay and only his best friends know his secret.
I have to say it takes guts to write this book, you have to have some serious confidence to publish. Honestly I didn't like this book so much I didn't finish it, I wouldn't have gone past the first chapter I was only reading it to see if he would tell his parents. I still don't know but honestly I don't care anymore. I was really ready to love this book, it was 10 pounds and I was hoping to love it. I have to say I was really disappointed with this book and do not recommend anyone buy it!
