Am I normal Yet? By: Holly Bourne
This book is so good, they tackle so many concepts that are so important in this era, that they should make it mandatory to read in school. There is one thing that may throw people off is, it’s based in England so there are different words that people may not understand. Like I said though very important topics, like Bullying, Mental Health, Dating, Sex, Feminism.
The book circles around the life of Evie, a girl on the outside looks like no other, but on the inside she suffers from OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder). Through out the book she battles with becoming normal and doing things like, going to the movies, having friends, liking boys. This book is very entertaining to read on a lazy day, you just sit down and read. This took me a week to read which is actually quite slow for me, there were other circumstances such as me flying to London and then flying to America.
I highly recommend you read this book, this is a very entertaining story that just keeps your mind sucked in for hours at a time. One of my favorite things Holly did in the book is, when Evie, had a bad thought she told us what the bad thought was instead of leaving us in the dark on Evie's OCD.
Writing Style: 5/5
Originality: 4.5/5
Entertainment: 5/5
Would I recommend this book? YES
Overall: 5/5
