Pretty Little Liars- Sara Shepard
This book is terrifying. I read it a few months ago and I was up until midnight reading and then i was so scared I couldn't go to sleep because I was convinced A was going to come and kill me. Don't worry I got to sleep eventually, but it is so scary I can still remember every detail. The series follows four teenage girls: Aria Montgomery, Hannah Marin, Spencer Hastings, and Emily Fields. They all live in Rosewood and they all were all best friends with Alison DiLaurentis. They were all inseparable until one day Alison goes missing during a sleepover and nobody ever hears from her...
Three years later her body is found in her backyard and it turns out Alison was murdered by someone unknown, then her best friends all got these threatening texts from a person calling themselves 'A'. There are 18 books in all and in each book they follow the girls. The first book was AMAZING. Though as the series unravels the plot becomes worse and worse.
Funny enough though I LOVE the TV show it is really funny and interesting. The romance is so much better than the book and it is very good. The books on the other hand are not, I feel like one book has the plot of one chapter as though all the books equals one chapter and add up to one giant book.
"Two can keep a secret if one of them are dead" ~ Benjamin Franklin
This is practically the entire theme of the series, having a secret and lying about it, moral: don't lie, it catches up to you.
Writing Style: 3/5
Originality: 5/5
Entertainment: 2/5
Would I recommend this book? Depends
Overall: 3/5
